Colleen lives in the beautiful historic village of Puhoi, Auckland, New Zealand.  She is mainly a self -taught artist, with a natural creative ability and an eye for colour and style.  Her preferred medium is Acrylic.

Colleen is inspired by nature and her surroundings.  Her passion for painting is leading her on a journey of experimenting with her love of colour, texture and form in a variety of styles and media.  Her style is often dependant on her mood and driven by the result of a simple mark or a splash of colour, which can change an entire painting.  Letting her natural flair take over the canvas, she enjoys the unpredictability and freedom of exploring her painting style. Colleen’s work is contemporary in style, and she enjoys using a variation of texturing compound in her abstract pieces. No one painting is the same nor are the subjects which make them a unique experience to the discerning eye.

Colleen is currently focusing her energy on painting aiming to create pieces that stimulate and inspire. She has work displayed in private collections around New Zealand, Australia England and Ireland.
